Jennifer Devine, CEO
The creator of Devine Consulting, a Sugar Land-based company that specializes in accounting system implementation and outsourcing, is Jennifer Devine, a Certified Public Accountant. In 2000, she obtained her CPA license after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University’s Mays School of Business.
Jennifer oversaw accounting for several operational divisions, including property management, real estate development, brokerage services, and club activities, while working as Controller for a globally renowned commercial real estate investment, management, and brokerage firm prior to founding Devine Consulting. Due to the company’s global presence, multi-currency reporting was necessary. Jennifer’s implementation of cross-currency software features removed the requirement for dual-entry accounting, saving the business hundreds of thousands of dollars in labor expenses.
In 2011, Jennifer combined her practical accounting experience with in-depth understanding of financial systems software by acquiring Accounting & Technology Solutions, a registered reseller of Microsoft Dynamics SL, and merging it into Devine Consulting. The company’s strategy is still defined by this integration: clients receive an advisor who is knowledgeable about both sides of the ledger rather than just a bookkeeper or software vendor.
