Jennifer Devine

Devine Consulting was founded by Jennifer Devine, a Certified Public Accountant, that has deep experience in accounting and informational systems software. Jennifer Devine graduated from the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University in 1996 where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She received her CPA license in 2000.

Jennifer has in excess of 15 years of experience, which includes serving as the Controller for an internationally respected commercial real estate investment, management and brokerage firm. She was responsible for all aspects of accounting for the operational divisions, which included internet services, real estate development, property management, brokerage services, and club activities. Since it was an international company there was the need to report in both domestic and international currencies. Jennifer specifically utilized the cross currency functionality of software to report multi-currencies out of one system (versus dual entry), ultimately saving the company hundreds of thousands in man power.

The idea of running her own business and doing exactly what she loves has always been Jennifer’s dream. In 2011, Jennifer had the opportunity to purchase Accounting & Technology Solutions from the previous owner. Accounting & Technology Solutions is a certified reseller of the software Microsoft Dynamics SL (formerly known as Solomon). She then merged Accounting & Technology Solutions into Devine Consulting to encompass her accounting professional expertise with the software side of the business. Jennifer strives to provide her clients with personalized customer service.

I want them to know me personally and feel like they are getting the best possible service. I feel like my Accounting background and my use of the system from a client perspective gives me an advantage over other consultants, as I know what management ultimately expects to receive and how the end users use the system.

James

James Flores

James Flores is a graduate of Texas State and has over 25 years of experience in both accounting and auditing. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

He started his career as an accountant in the oil and gas industry working with accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost control and more. Before joining the Devine Team, James was a Consultant for multiple business and was responsible for tasks that included quarterly evaluation of controls, process improvement and gap remediation. He has also served as an interim controller for a mid sized oil service company and has 5 years’ experience working on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) in both oil and gas and commercial landscaping.

His previous experience also includes being an Assistant Controller, Manager of Financial Operations and Regional Compliance Manger. He has been with Devine since 2018 and as the  director of Accounting he manages our accounting team.

Tonya Leiva

Tonya Leiva is our newest director of Accounting and joined the Devine Consulting team in 2022. Tonya Leiva, a Certified Public Accountant, is a graduate of Texas A&M University, through the Professional Program of Accounting (PPA). Through PPA, she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and her Masters of Accounting, with an emphasis on taxation. While at A&M, Tonya was also a Business Fellow through the Mays School of Business and co-founded a Christian sorority called Philadelphia Sisters.

Tonya has worked over 15 years in the accounting industry. She started out in public accounting as a tax accountant and then shifted into the Oil & Gas industry. She spent the first 5 years in industry focused on taxes, both income and indirect taxes such as motor fuel taxes, sales tax, as well as other ad valorem taxes. The last 10 plus years, Tonya shifted out of taxation to the accounting side of the industry. Her roles primarily consisted of overseeing the financial reporting and month end close and managing a large accounting team. Additionally, Tonya was the lead in transitioning any divisional mergers and acquisitions, along with supervising the accounts payable and accounts receivable team and managed partner relations. Tonya prides herself in her ability to work with high integrity and build lasting relationships with her co-workers and peers in the profession. This allows her to better meet the needs of her team and all those she works with.

Stephanie

Stephanie Fagan

Stephanie Fagan is an honors graduate from Texas State University-San Marcos. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a focus in Advertising. She began her professional accounting career in 2006 immediately after college.

Prior to joining Devine Consulting, she worked in the Accounts Payable Department for a worldwide industrial gas company. She went from starting as an Accounts Payable Mail Clerk to the Accounts Payable Lead in the 6 years she was there.

She has worked for Devine Consulting LLC since 2013 within both sides of the business - Accounting and Sage Intacct.
